Marvel's Spider-Man is a action-adventure Match published based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man and developed by Insomniac Games.
Released on September 7, 2018, it is the first licensed game. The game tells a new story about Spider-Man that isn't tied to an present comic book, video game, or movie, and covers both Peter Parker and Spider-Man aspects of the personality.
Spider-Man was received upon launch. Critics called it one of the greatest superhero games made, praising especially the combat its gameplay and mechanics, images, storyline, characterization, and design of new york, though felt it lacked innovation in its own design. The game became a commercial success, promoting 3.3 million copies in its first 3 days of release, and broke several sales records.
Spider-Man features a large ensemble cast of characters from the history of comics. Employing a secret identity, Parker uses these abilities to look after the taxpayers of New York City since the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years into his superhero career, Parker is now an masterful and experienced crime fighter, but struggles to balance lives and his superhero. He is aided in his fight with intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, also NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). In his civilian life, Parker is encouraged by his Aunt May (Nancy Linari) who volunteers at the F.E.A.S.T. homeless shelter run by philanthropist Martin Li (Stephen Oyoung). Parker is employed by his friend and mentor, the honored scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's experience brings him into contact with other personalities, such as Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) along with his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO along with New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), along with Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), chief of the private military company Sable International.
The mission of spider-Man brings him into conflict with supervillains. Fisk is delivered to prison, but cautions that he had been the sole person keeping order in the city. Fisk's absence gives rise to a supernaturally powered, demonic-mask sporting gang known as the Demons who start dividing town for the powerful Mr. Negative, who can corrupt people through his signature. Spider-Man should also face Electro (Josh Keaton), Cheap EXP farming Rhino (Fred Tatasciore), Scorpion (Jason Spisak), Vulture (Dwight Schultz), Shocker (Dave B. Mitchell), Taskmaster (Brian Bloom), Screwball (Stephanie Lemelin), and Tombstone (Corey Jones).
A lot of other characters--including Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who's vanished on a lengthy European holiday, and anti-Spider-Man podcast host J. Jonah Jameson (Darin p Paul) have voice roles in the major game. The game includes several references including the Sanctum Sanctorum, the Wakandan Embassy, Avengers Tower, Murdock & Nelson Attorneys at Law, Rand Corporation, and Alias Investigations.  Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee cameos as a short-order cook. The match's downloadable content features appearances by master-thief Black Cat (Erica Lindbeck) (that has a voice-only function in the primary game), and Hammerhead (Keith Silverstein), chief of the Maggia crime family.
